Growing Roots is a small charitable project that has operated on an allotment in Highfield Park in the south eastern side of St Albans since 2013.

The charity is a member of Communities 1st and the National Council for Voluntary Organisations.  It is governed by a small team of trustees and the day to day running is undertaken by the coordinators and other volunteers.  The trustees meet three times a year and hold the AGM in April when possible.

 

Funding has been accessed from several organisations including:

Ayletts Garden Centre, the Cooperative Group (Herts & Essex Area), St Albans Council (Community Grants) and most recently Hertfordshire Community Foundation (Small Grants and St Albans Fund for the Future).
